Workshops
Art is not supposed to be scary, being creative can be a healing and meditative process. Taking time out to sit quietly and really study something creates time and space within us, giving our often over stimulated minds time to switch off.
My aim is that by the end of the session you will have had time to observe, to breathe and to make images on paper that will leave you feeling happy and with a sense of achievement. With a variety of different media to explore (watercolour, inks, pastels, pencils and charcoal) Time to breathe with other like-minded creatives!
Come and join me for an evening of calm creative fun.

Whether applying for Art scholarships or tackling GCSE or A Level. Art can be very daunting. It is often seen as the easy option when in fact, it is quite the reverse - it can become very formulaic and can take a lot of joy out of what should be a nurturing and fulfilling subject. I aim to help young people to maintain a passion for the subject while also ticking the necessary boxes required by the exam boards.
Amy set the tone for the art session, by setting up the space with gorgeous enticing resources and delightful items to draw and engage with. During a two hour session with Amy we learnt how to use various materials and techniques. Amy put us all at ease straight away. We were able to experiment with everything and we learnt how to really look at the items we were painting in detail and with support choose how we wanted to put these images on to paper. I found the whole experience, fun, relaxing and very informative. I would highly recommend the session. We are ready to book our next!
Thank you Amy
